Sabena technics, Europe’s leading independent MRO, develops its offer by becoming a major player in the supply and maintenance of military helicopters within the last 2 years.
Initially developed at Sabena technics’ Dinard site, the Group’s helicopter capabilities have evolved significantly with the acquisition of activities in Marseille in 2020, then Heli-Union in 2022.
With operations in Toussus-le-Noble, Pau and Angoulême, as well as in Marseille, this entity of more than 450 employees represents around a quarter of the Group’s revenues, and now constitutes the Helicopters Division under the Sabena technics Helicopters brand.
The reopening of the Boussiron hangar in Marseille, after more than 25 years of inactivity, provides Sabena technics Helicopters with an exceptional maintenance capacity in terms of the simultaneous number of helicopters, logistics areas and mechanical and component workshops. Due to its design and location, this hangar will be the Group’s most energy-efficient.
“Sabena technics, which has been growing steadily for more than 10 years, confirms its position as Europe’s leading independent MRO serving its civil and military customers. Our wide range of services now covers both aircraft and helicopters, and enables us to offer simple as well as much more comprehensive services, making us a true partner for our customers, with efficient solutions to help them meet their own challenges,” said Philippe Rochet, President of Sabena technics.
